Stones are gradedby their density.

Colours and patterns in each stone will vary in each stone (quite radically actually in many cases – so it is the denisty that you are seeking – not pure colour!) Use with premium honing oil – just a few drops – wipe clean after use.

RH Preyda provides the effective, high-quality solution to any edge – the ultimate sharpening stone.

Arkansas Novaculite is the only known substance that can sharpen a blade and polish it as well.

Harder and finer than Hard Arkansas. Not as pure black as Surgical Black Arkansas. The colour isis more dark grey than black. This stone will polish finer than Soft and Hard Arkansas stones.

All bench stones are supplied in handsome protective wooden boxes. A non-slip silicone base is also included in the sizes listed below.
