Product Description

Sheffield made hand forged adzes by Henry Taylor for single handed use.

There is a choice of 3 adzes, this one a gouge end with a shallow/mid gouge or there is a tight gouge (sweep 9) and a 50mm (2′) straight edge (like a chisel).

ThisHand Adze with a Shallow Curved Blade is perfect for beginner bowl carving because it has a gradual cut soyouwon’t take away as much material.

At the other end to the cutting edge is a square faced hammer poll.

All the adzes have an ash handle of 250mm (about 10′) .

The overall head size (from the square face of the hammer poll to the cutting edge) is 175mm (about 7′)

Weight is 0.91 kgs which is 2lbs in old money.
