Product Description

This lime is sourced for us from a Sawmill in Yorkshire. It is British lime wood (also known as basswood or linden)

A favourite with woodcarvers because it is one of the easiest woods to carve with consistent grain and very fewknots.

Pale yellow – white.

Kiln dried.

Lime wood is soft and crisp, making it ideal for intricate carving and working with hand tools.Its close grain structure makes it less likely to break away at the edges, resulting in a smoother finish.

Lime wood is resistant to splitting, which helps ensure that finished pieces maintain their integrity over time.

It is also suitable for wood turning, musical instrument, and furniture making.
