The Spoon Horse and other Small Shaves, is an extension of Sean’searlier book, Shaving Horses, Lap Shaves and Other Woodland Vices (Crafty Little Press, 2016). It has come about after several years using a variety of traditional designs and adapting these to suit Sean’sown craft practice. The Spoon Horse has now replaced the role of Sean’slarger shaving horse, when hework on smaller items. The Bench Horse is also a valuable resource in Sean’sworkshop.

Reflecting on design matters, Seanfelt strongly that these smaller, sometimes more conveniently assembled seated vices are of greater advantage to green woodworkers who make spoons, fanbirds, pegs and other small items, than hehad previously explored.
