Kote Nomi (trowel chisels) arespecialised Japanese hand-forged, bent-neck chisels designed for precision paring in tight spaces, such as cleaning up the bottom of grooves, dadoes, sliding dovetails, and mortises. They feature a laminated steel bladewith a steep bevel and a ”gooseneck”shape to keep hands clear of the work.
