Product Description
Woodpeckers Small4” (100mm) Sliding Bevel.
Whether you’re laying out dovetails, copying an angle from an old piece, or transferring a plan’s angle onto wood, you want a bevel gauge that adjusts smoothly, locks securely — and stays locked until you release it. The Woodpeckers Sliding Bevel Gauge and Bevel Block delivers that with a distinctive locking system: a knob designed to sit comfortably between thumb and forefinger, giving clear tactile feedback when adjusting tension. Inside, a wedge mechanism multiplies your pressure so the blade grips firmly even with modest finger pressure.
Two Sizes for Different Projects
There are two models: this listing is for the smaller4”(100mm) version, ideal for small jobs like dovetails, and a separate listing for the 7” (178mm)version better suited to larger furniture work. Both use satin-finish stainless-steel blades, stainless hardware, the jewelled insets described above — and a rugged aluminium body finished in “Woodpecker’s Red.”
Optional Extras – The Bevel Block: A Handy Angle Reference
The Bevel Block provides a physical references for the most common mitre angles and popular dovetail angles. By referencing its different faces, you can set the primary angle, its complement (90° minus that angle), or its supplement (180° minus it).
As with all tools from Woodpeckers, each piece is precision-machined and carefully inspected at their facility in Ohio to meet high standards of quality.
